“When I started Bumble Bee Learning Hive back in 2007, I had temporary walking disability. I had less than $500 in my bank account to last me for my living expenses, the physiotherapy sessions, and the taxi fees to transport me from home to hospital, and back to home.
In times of desperation for money and down with temporary disability to work and earn cash, I had decided to log on to the ACRA website to register a company. At that moment, it was not out of 100% passion and interest, but rather out of urgency and the need for survival.
Therefore, during that particular night, I decided to put my fate into my own control. I took my clutches and limped to a nearby ATM to bank in approximately $100 of my scarce cash into my UOB account to pay for the registration fee.
The following day, I walked to Taman Jurong Community Club to get my Singpass for CPF to finally complete the registration of the company. Voilà~ Bumble Bee Learning Hive was born.
Fast-forward to 2009, within a short span of 2 years, Bumble Bee Learning Hive had successfully assisted more than 6 souls to achieve their goals in life and set up the first learning centre at Dover!
Hence, let us look forward to more accelerated growth in the future for this promising bee that has quite a tough start.”
